Ice Cream Packaging Technician

Learn automated equipment. No manufacturing experience required. Training provided

Perry's Ice Cream is looking for motivated team members who enjoy learning new skills and working in a fast-paced team environment. In this role, you will learn to operate and monitor automated packaging equipment that packages  ice cream products for shipment to customers.

No prior manufacturing experience is required. Successful team members come from a variety of backgrounds including restaurants, retail, warehousing, customer service, and manufacturing. We provide the training needed to be successful.  Title of this job is Packaging Center Operator (formal description available)

BASIC PURPOSE:

The Ice Cream Packaging Technician is responsible for operating and monitoring automated packaging equipment to ensure the safe, efficient, and accurate packaging of ice cream products. This position supports the continuous flow of product through the packaging process while maintaining equipment, work areas, and sanitation standards in accordance with Company policies and food safety requirements.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Support the production of safe, high-quality products while maintaining a strong commitment to team member safety.

• Be comfortable learning basic mechanical skills and troubleshooting packaging equipment.

• Willing to learn and become proficient in the operation of automated packaging equipment, including wrappers, robotic systems, automated case packers, conveyors, and related support equipment.

• Desire to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with the ability to multitask and adapt to changing production needs.

• Possess basic math skills.

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and effectively communicate with team members and leadership.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.

• Accurately complete required production records and documentation in a timely manner.

• Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and sanitary condition in accordance with Company policies and food safety requirements.

• Willing to learn and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety requirements, and department-specific quality standards.

Pay:

Base Pay Rate: $19.82 / hour - $22.05 / hour
