We’re looking for a tech-savvy, detail-oriented Junior Scheduler to join our fast-paced Supply Chain team. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this full-time role offers a direct path to Master Scheduler in approximately three years and is ideal for someone with a passion for planning, optimization, and continuous learning. As a Junior Scheduler, you’ll work closely with the Master Production Scheduler and cross-functional teams to support and eventually lead critical scheduling functions that ensure the timely delivery of safe, high-quality products.
What You’ll Do
You’ll be immersed in the production planning process and gradually take on greater ownership of scheduling activities—from forecasting to coordination with production and maintenance teams. You’ll also back up raw materials procurement and contribute to continuous improvement efforts across the scheduling function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shadow and support the Master Scheduler in planning and publishing the production schedule.
- Analyze equipment capabilities and product mix to optimize efficiency.
- Manage weekly and daily mix schedules to support production needs.
- Lead weekly Production Activities meetings to address materials, equipment, and labor needs.
- Align supply plans with sales forecasts.
- Revise production schedules based on real-time changes in demand, materials, or capacity.
- Coordinate scheduled downtime and preventive maintenance with the Maintenance team.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to balance demand forecasts and plant capacity.
- Support dairy raw ingredient procurement and vendor communication as cross-training.
- Maintain complex spreadsheets and develop the annual build schedule for bulk tubs.
- Recommend improvements to scheduling systems, tools, and processes.
What We’re Looking For
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, scheduling, or materials management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.

Base salary range $65,000-$72,000 commensurate with relevant skills and experience

JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Junior Scheduler Reports To: Supply Chain Manager

GENERAL STATEMENTOF DUTIES:
Is a core member of the supply chain/ production support division responsible for assisting in production scheduling and planning. Works alongside Master production scheduler to learn the planning and scheduling of all manufactured items while keeping food safety and processing the priority. Additionally serves as a back-up to materials procurement. Supports the production of a safe, high-quality product and Team Member safety.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES include, but are not limited to:
- Shadow with Master Scheduler to gain comprehensive knowledge of the process for creation and publishing of the master production schedule, and manufacturing plan consistent with finished product demand, resource availability, and inventory level objectives.
- Analyze equipment capabilities versus product mix to determine where products should be run to improve efficiencies.
- Weekly and Daily mix scheduling, to service the production floor based on the items running on the production schedule.
- Work in close coordination with Production Facilitators, and Leads to meet scheduling, and production needs.
- Lead the weekly Production Activities Meeting, to address materials, equipment, and labor concerns.
- Co-Champion weekly Sales/Ops Meeting, to increase awareness of sales & forecast changes, and review manufactured units inventory levels.
- Responsible for revising the master production schedule to react to changes that are a result of changes in demand or forecast, resources, (equipment, team members) raw materials, etc.
- Coordinate with Maintenance for scheduled down-time, PM’s, equipment upgrades, etc.
- Analyze changes in product demand and works closely with Sales & Marketing to ensure proper, and accurate plant capacity versus customer demand, lead time, and delivery is in balance.
- Perform ongoing analysis of weekly, monthly and future capacity to optimize flavor family scheduling, product levels, and achieve manufacturing continuity during low and high-volume months, while still achieving customer service and inventory targets.
- Interfaces with key customers to determine the most cost-effective production scheduling/layout of their forecast/orders.
- Create and maintain multiple spreadsheets.
- Develop and manage the annual build schedule for 3-gallon bulk tubs.
- Research and propose improvements in scheduling processes and technology; participate in implementation of solutions that drive efficiency and effectiveness.
- Qualified/cross trained to support the procurement of the dairy raw ingredients (milk, cream, skim, buttermilk, whey powder, skim powder & liquid sugar).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in business or technical concentration
- 3+ years’ experience in Manufacturing and/or Materials management role
- Proficiency using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel.
- Experience with ERP systems ( SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
